I help students learn and succeed in school and life with mind maps.

Research supports the idea that visual communication can be more powerful than verbal communication, suggesting that we learn and retain information that is presented visually much better than that which is only provided verbally. These are welcome findings to anyone whose work involves visual mapping, including mind mapping.
As part of my mission to help students succeed, I’ll be expanding on the mind map resources available at http://conciselearning.com/freemindmaps.html. I’ll post each new map on my blog and Facebook, and will also share the new maps on Biggerplate, where you can download and modify and build on mind maps to meet your needs. For those who’d like to get e-mail updates, please join the monthly Student Success newsletter. You can also find my blog at the Alltop page on mind mapping: http://mind-mapping.alltop.com.
The mind maps will come mainly from three sources:
- Skills of Success mind maps found in Concise Learning.
- Resources that I come across while reading, learning, teaching, coaching, and other aspects of my life (personal and professional).
- Your suggestions.
Some mind maps will be more elaborate than others, but I hope that you will find them all fun to read and of benefit.
With each mind map, I encourage you to:
- Read it
- Think it
- Personalize it
- Build on it
- Put it into practice
- Comment and share
I hope you’ll find these new mind maps enjoyable and helpful.
