Civics Questions for the Naturalization Test to Become a U.S Citizen

In celebration of Independence Day, I’ve compiled this mind map (part I; part II will follow tomorrow) to help those who want to become U.S. Citizens and to refresh the memory of others who are already U.S citizens (take the test and see how many you get right!).

The full mind map can be downloaded at http://www.biggerplate.com/mindmaps/vjbpaM0Q/naturalization-test-part-i-american-government.

All material in this mind map is from N-400 Application and M-476 Guide resources on U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

The civics test is an oral test and the USCIS Officer will ask the applicant up to 10 of the 100 civics questions. An applicant must answer 6 out of 10 questions correctly to pass the civics portion of the naturalization test.

If you are 65 or older and have been a legal permanent resident of the United States for 20 or more years, you may study just the questions that have been marked with an asterisk.

When studying, collapse (hide) the answers for best learning results.

Good luck!
